Our Story
From a father-and-son dream to your dog's bowl — this is how Paws on Plates began.



It all started with a walk
To us, dogs aren’t a business – they’re family. Sam grew up on Saturday morning walks with his dad, learning what truly makes a dog thrive. Years later, when his Rhodesian Ridgeback, Loki, lost his spark to health issues, Sam realised the truth: the fillers and ‘mystery’ ingredients in tinned food simply weren’t good enough. Loki, and every other dog, deserved better.

A shared dream. A promise kept.
Sam and his dad spent three years researching a better way to feed the animals they loved. When Sam tragically lost his father to cancer, the mission became a promise. That heartbreak fuelled a new determination to honour his dad’s memory and finish the dream they had started together.

Proper food, from our kitchen to yours
Paws on Plates now has over 100 recipes, hand-cooked in our Sussex kitchen using 100% British meat, sourced from farmers we know and trust. We’ve cut out the nasties, fillers and plastic, focusing only on human-grade nutrition and absolute devotion. It’s proper food, delivered from our paw to your door – exactly the way Sam and his dad imagined it.
